Doug DeMorrow is well-respected as an educator, performer and the designer and creator of premium keyboard percussion instruments. He received his BMA from Henderson State University and his MM from the University of North Texas, where he became fascinated with marimba construction. He returned to Henderson State University as an instructor and also spent time teaching at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. In 1984, fulfilling his interest in marimba construction, Doug founded DeMorrow Instruments and has been designing and building marimbas, xylophones, vibraphones and orchestras bells since. In 2007, he joined with Pro-Mark and created four high-quality autograph models of marimba mallets. Doug currently performs with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.
