2010 Youngstown State University Percussion Ensemble Tour

Dr. Glenn Schaft and the Youngstown State University Percussion Ensemble are pleased to announce their upcoming Winter Tour to Centerville and Cincinnati, Ohio.

The YSY Percussion Ensemble was invited to perform at the Ohio Music Education Association Professional Development Conference in Cincinnati January 28-30. The concert is January 28 at 2:45 P.M. in the Millenium Grand Ballroom at the Duke Energy Center. This conference is the most prestigious music education event in Ohio and the YSU Percussion Ensemble has performed at several recent OMEA conferences in Columbus and Cleveland.

The YSU PE will also perform at Centerville High School, near Dayton, on January 27 at 8 P.M. They will share the stage with the Centerville Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble who will preview their upcoming Ohio Music Education Association Conference performances.

Dr. Glenn Schaft, director of percussion studies at YSU and a renowned rhythm pedagogue, will present a clinic entitled “Rhythmic Mastery For All Music Educators” at the OMEA Conference on January 29 at 4 P.M. in CCC 260-262.
